<INTRO>

Central Dispatch makes taking control of your vehicle transportation easy and safe with a streamlined, self-service digital platform. Here’s how it works.

<1. POST YOUR JOB>

First, shippers post a job listing.

Enter the vehicle’s pick up location, delivery location, trailer type, and details on the vehicle to be delivered.

You can use the “Price Check” tool to see what the current market rate is for similar jobs, so you always get a competitive rate. Central Dispatch Premium users have the option to use Price Check Plus, which shows you even more real-time market data for more informed decisions, and delivers AI predictive-pricing to ensure you get the most optimal rate possible.

From there, you can either post your listing to the general load board, or assign directly to a preferred carrier right from the same dashboard.

After you post your listing, you can expect a call in 30 minutes or less. We partner with thousands of carriers, and they’re always looking for new loads.

<2. REVIEW BIDS>

Be sure to always review a carrier’s Central Dispatch profile before doing business with them, so you can feel confident you’re working with a qualified partner.

The carrier scorecard gives you a quick snap shot of each carrier’s ratings and work history, plus flags for any missing or expired FMCSA authorizations. For more details, visit their company profile.

There you’ll find their complete FMCSA information so you can verify the carrier is active and authorized. Review insurance documents provided on their profile, and contact the agent to verify their insurance information is up-to-date.

You’ll also see a carrier’s overall Central Dispatch rating, as well as ratings for distinct categories like Timeliness, Communication, and Documentation.

Central Dispatch also provides ratings and reviews for each transaction, so you can see how they’ve performed on every job they’ve taken on our platform and identify any suspicious activity to avoid unreliable partners.

<3. DISPATCH A CARRIER>

Once you’ve chosen the right carrier for you, dispatching them is easy with fully electronic dispatch — no paperwork required!

You can manage all your shipments in one place using the “Manage Listings” page. Here you can dispatch a vehicle, or check in to see what vehicles are listed on the marketplace, dispatched, or have been delivered.

For shipments with real-time tracking enabled, simply hit the “Track Shipment” button to view the vehicle’s live location on an interactive map, as well as the latest delivery status updates.

Plus, managing your team is easy too with the all-new user management system. Account owners can create unique profiles for each employee or contractor, assign them a role, and change their account permissions, ensuring sensitive business information is protected and eliminating the risks of a single login.

<4. RECEIVE YOUR VEHICLE & RATE>

Once a job is complete, use the Transactional Ratings system to rate and review your carrier partner. Be as fair and thorough as possible when describing their performance, so other shippers can make better, more informed partnering decisions.

Ronnie Warren, General Manager at Lexus of Cool Springs, used to ship vehicles the old fashioned way — with time-consuming phone calls and paperwork. Now with Central Dispatch, every step of his process is fully streamlined, so he can quickly get cars to his dealership at minimal cost, and turn them around to retail faster. Watch the video to see Ronnie’s full story.

Multi-Factor Authentication will assist in protecting unauthorized users from gaining access to a Marketplace account.

A multi-step authentication process for account login requires a user to enter more information than just a password. Users will also enter a verification code sent to the mobile phone number linked to their Central Dispatch account.

How will it work on CD?

Sign in using Username and Password

A screen will appear to verify access

Check your mobile phone for the confirmation code

The confirmation code will be sent to the linked phone number and will expire in 5 minutes

Enter confirmation code and submit

If confirmation code has expired, user can click Resend Code

FAQs

Why are you requiring a multi-factor authentication process?

User verification based solely on a username and password provides relatively weak account security. The multi-factor authentication provides an extra layer of security for your account.

We all share a username and password for the account. How will the multi-factor authentication process work for us?

Each user on your account can be set up with their own username and password under the Manage Users tab on your account.

With Managing Users, you can assign a role to each person. The role allows you to decide who on your team gets access to certain features and sensitive information, and eliminates the risks that come with a shared sign-in.

Managing Users also allows you to remove a user that is no longer associated with your company, so they do not have access to your account. Learn More About Managing Users

What if I do not have access to the phone number to verify the account?

If you are a user on an account, please contact the account owner and ask them to add you to their account.

 If you are sharing a log in with another company and do not have access to the verification phone number, you may want to consider getting your own Central Dispatch subscription.

Which phone number is used to send the verification code?

The verification will be sent to the mobile phone number listed in the user’s Central Dispatch account.

What if I want the verification code to be sent to a different phone number?

Each user can edit the Central Dispatch verification information. Click here to view the steps.

What if I do not have a mobile phone number set up in my profile?

You will need to add a mobile phone number under your My Profile page in Central Dispatch. Click here to view the steps.

I work with multiple accounts on Central Dispatch. Do I need to go through the multi-factor authentication process for every account?

If you have completed multi-factor authentication on the same device, navigating to a different account will not require another verification.
