Session cookies are

Session cookies allows CentralDispatch to store information until the browser is closed or the computer is restarted.

Session cookies must be enabled. If only session cookies are enabled, you can log into CentralDispatch as long as you do not use the "Remember me on this computer" feature.

Persistent cookies are

Persistent cookies allows CentralDispatch to store information until it is cleared by the service or the life of the cookie expires. When "Remember me on this computer" is checked, CentralDispatch creates a 30-day cookie which is renewed each time a CentralDispatch page is accessed. (You will have to log in again if you have not accessed CentralDispatch within the past 30 days.)

Persistent cookies must be enabled to log into CentralDispatch with the "Remember me on this computer" box checked.
